Ladybug
Coccinellidae is a widespread family of small beetles, commonly known as ladybugs in North America and ladybirds in the United Kingdom. Their hardened forewings, called elytra, cover and protect the delicate hindwings, which are intricately folded underneath when not in flight and unfold in a fraction of a second at takeoff.
