How to create a new Public/Private Key Pair inside WebSSH?

  1. Go to WebSSH Settings (gear icon)
  2. Choose "SSH Keys"
  3. Press "+" button
  4. Use "Generate" option
  5. Choose key type (RSA, ECDSA, ED25519)
  6. Follow the instructions to generate the key pair

How to import an existing Private Key from a file?

  1. Go to WebSSH Settings (gear icon)
  2. Choose "SSH Keys"
  3. Press "+" button
  4. Use "Import" option
  5. Select the file containing your Private Key (OpenSSH format)

Importing a Private Key from clipboard

  1. Copy your Private Key to clipboard (including the -----BEGIN OPENSSH PRIVATE KEY----- and -----END OPENSSH PRIVATE KEY----- lines)
  2. Go to WebSSH Settings (gear icon)
  3. Choose "SSH Keys"
  4. Press "+" button
  5. Use "Add"
  6. Paste your Private Key from clipboard into the text area
